KLCC Outing With Kaliin & Harfad
|
|
It was fun taking photos while exchanging ideas with kaliin, harfad and harfad's friend. I am generally not too happy with the result, primarily due too conventional and plain viewpoint. I am sure harfad's results are better.
Anyway, at least I have good exposure starting point for the next shoot in KLCC. More reason to go back again.

Umbai Jetty, Melaka
|
|
I went to Umbai with friends on Saturday. While waiting for the fishes to be ready, I went to the jetty and tried some shots. Very difficult to focus in low light conditions but the practice must go on.

Puchong Perdana Mosque

These are shots taken at Puchong Perdana Mosque when I was testing my new tripod. It was fun
playing around with water puddle.
The second photo is not sharp enough since I accidently touched the camera prematurely when the shutter was still opened. Sigh. However, I still want to share it since I like the framing.

The wheather was perfect yesterday so I went to Putrjaya in the afternoon. These some of my shots of the Putrajaya mosque.

Friday's Sunset, 25-Nov-2005

It's been a while since I have taken any sunset shot (by my standard). Lately, I think it is a good time to stop taking sunset shots because I have taken so many of them in the past and more importantly because it falls into "easy exposure" category.
However, a book that I am reading now made realized that photography starts when you are there at that place at that instance with the camera. Even if the composition can be taken by any dumbass, the dumbass is not there and you're the lone person with a camera.
Keep on shooting, no matter how easy it is. Hopefully it will give me strength to venture into more difficult territories.

These are photos from my diving trip back in April. Nice and safe photos.
"Nice and safe" means:
All these photo are taken well within my comfort zone. The kind of pictures that I normally take which are scenery shots, panoramic stitching, using Program AE mode because it is easy, my typical viewpoint and my typical framing. Absolutely no improvement in terms of creativity or new subject.

Kemasik Beach, Terengganu

Before shooting these pictures, I was always fascinated by this beach when watching it briefly from bus or car while heading towards KL from KT. On the way back from KL for last year's holiday, I finally made my stop at the beach when the wheather was absolutely terrific despite the monsoon season. The panoramic shot here is my personal favorite.
